New Bunny!
February 10, 2012 at 3:59 pm | Posted in DIY, Rescue | Leave a commentAt our most recent vet visit, Gustav’s vet asked me if I was considering a friend from him. The thought had crossed my mind, but hearing it from someone else really got me thinking, and looking, and talking to Rabbit Rescue Inc.… and Tomorrow Gustav’s new friend is going to join us!
It’s my understanding that the new bunny is a bit of a self-taught demolitions expert, so today I got to work making some toys that will hopefully distract her from my furniture.
Clockwise from top left:
Foraging bag: paper lunch bag stuffed with orchard grass hay, plain newspaper, apple twigs, non-toxic wood, and a few treats, tied with sea grass rope, a mini birdie bagel and mini muffin cups
Rattle: plush baby rattle toy with the tag cut off
Toss n’ Chew: cardboard tubing with two holes drilled, wooden corn cob (salvaged from another rabbit toy), mini muffin cups, strung together with seagrass rope
Toss n’ Chew 2: birdie bagel tube stuffed with plain newspaper and a treat
Toss n’ Chew 3: non-toxic wood block (salvaged from parrot toy) and 2 jiffy pots strung together with seagrass rope.
I arranged the items, along with a cardboard flower bouquet and a wiffle ball, in a cardboard mason jar holder for a cute gift basket.
Hope she likes it!
